The National Logistics Academy

Forklift Truck Operator Training

Courses for new and experienced forklift truck operators

The National Logistics Academy offers Forklift Truck Operator courses for complete novices and for experienced operators wishing to refresh their ‘licence’ or convert to another type of truck. Courses can be taken on counterbalance, reach and articulated forklift trucks.

All courses combine both theory and practical training. Operators will learn the skills to operate the truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of truck and load instability. At the end of the course operators will be tested on their knowledge and their operating skills.

Following successful completion, operators will be awarded a certificate accredited by RTITB which meets the standards set by the Accrediting Bodies Association - Workplace Transport (ABA) who are advised on training by the Health and Safety Executive.
