The National Logistics Academy's International Freight Apprenticeship will equip individuals with the knowledge to allow businesses to navigate the legislation and requirements involved in international trade. Partnering with the Chamber of Commerce and BIFA, our programme ensures participants
receive the most current training, including updates on new legislation and essential paperwork adjustments in response to Brexit.
This standard supports the development of your staff to gain the skills required to successfully trade outside the borders of the UK. The apprenticeship can also be used to support new entrants within freight forwarding organisations.
The delivery involves a blend of tutor-led virtual masterclasses and 1-to-1 support. Apprentices become proficient in:
- Transportation optimisation: accuracy and effective planning that will minimise delays, fuel costs and transportation expenses
- Meeting regulatory requirements: reducing the risk of non-compliance issues and added time and costs
- Effective communication: providing outstanding customer service to support repeat business
- Employing technology effectively: improves operational productivity
How the apprenticeship is assessed
The End Point Assessment (EPA) has three components which are:
- Aged 18 or over
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Minimum Level 1.5 in English and maths Functional Skills
